The Yamaha Pacifica is an awesome electric guitar. Great value, modern looks and awesome features. The latest Pacifica incarnation is the Pacifica 611VFM. As well as the flame maple top and matching headstock, this guitar features a Wilkinson Tremolo and Seymour Duncan P-90 (neck) and humbucker pickups.

Once again, the 611 VFM from Yamaha proves that they are the kings of high quality musical instruments that meet modern demands of great features and optimised playability.

Here’s what Yamaha say about the Pacifica 611VFM guitar

First revealed in 2012, the Yamaha Pacifica 611 was conceived and built to be a ‘guitarist’s guitar’ with specific musical styles in mind. With its two-pickup Seymour Duncan Trembucker and SP90-1 configuration combining with a solid alder body, the 611 is perfect for blues, rock and classic hard rock. During its short life in the marketplace the Pacifica 611 has already received numerous international press plaudits, editor’s choices and 5 -star awards.

With its uncompromising high quality, the 611 is already well known for professional features and sound. On launch the UK’s highly influential Guitarist magazine said, “It’s immediately apparent just how versatile this Pacifica design is. The 611 is full and articulate all-rounder, with the neck p-90 especially worthy of mention. It’s the perfect mix of vintage soupy low-end and modest treble cut, which is ideal at low gains for bluesy bends and smooth, almost jazzy chords.”

Now, the next chapter begins with Yamaha further developing and refining the instrument into the 611VFM; giving extra momentum to the guitar that boasts a boutique spec at an affordable price.

The 611VFM gets a new tremolo option with the market-leading Wilkinson VS50-6 and Grover locking machine heads.

Darren Power is Yamaha’s European Marketing Manager for Guitars and he comments, “Pacifica guitars have, since their introduction over 20 years ago, rightly gained a reputation for being all about the guitarist, whatever their level. Pacifica 611VFM is further proof of this philosophy and encapsulates the spirit of Pacifica.”
