Description

The best tube distortion currently available. The Behringer VT999 Vintage Tube Monster has a distinct advantage over every other tube pedal it has a real tube 12ax7 driving its mammoth tone. This instantly gives you the warm smooth tonal edge of a high-end valve amp with the rich harmonic overtones to go with. Detailed controls then allow you to sculpt your drive tone to perfection; 3-band EQ lets you tailor bass mid and treble independently giving you total control. Also integrated is a noise gate with an adjustable threshold to remove unwanted noise (helpful with single coil pickups) which will keep the pedal silent when you want it to be. If you need warm authentic tube distortion it literally doesnt get better than the VT999.

More info about this Product

Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

Specialist Effects Pedals

Specialist effects pedals cover unusual, highly focused or multi-purpose designs that do not fit neatly into one standard effect family. The category may include experimental modulation, pitch, ambient, percussion and signal-processing tools, so the individual control layout matters. Compare the effect architecture, routing, presets, expression or MIDI options, switching, power requirements and mono or stereo connections before deciding how a pedal will fit the rig.

Valve Amp

Valve amplifiers use vacuum tubes in part or all of the amplification path. Their response depends on circuit design, output stage, speaker load and operating level rather than valve technology alone.
