Browne Amplification's 'The T4' fuzz pedal is a ferocious fire-breather! Based on the classic 4-transistor fuzz circuit, synonymous with the Big Muff among countless other variants, what sets The T4 apart is a flattened EQ curve that pumps the mids back in to ensure that you can cut through in a mix.

A softer amount of gain smooths out some of the rough edges too, making it slightly more adaptable for various musical styles. You can still achieve the aggressive fuzz tones that endeared the original designs though – perfect for shoegazers and soloists alike! If you’ve never dived into the world of fuzz, this could be your gateway drug…

Fuzz

Fuzz is one of the earliest and most distinctive guitar effects, known for its thick, gritty, and saturated tone that completely transforms your sound. It works by heavily clipping the audio signal, producing a raw, almost broken distortion that defined the sound of the ’60s and ’70s rock era. Classic pedals like the Fuzz Face and Big Muff became legendary for their roaring sustain and rich harmonic texture. Modern fuzz pedals range from vintage-style warmth to wild, synth-like chaos, making them perfect for players who want to add character, attitude, and a touch of chaos to their tone.
