Another Fender FSR beauty exclusive to Andertons Music Co! This American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster takes a guitar icon in a slick, luxurious direction. Striking the perfect balance between era-accurate and tastefully upgraded, you’ve got a gloss black nitro finish complemented by a triple-bill of Custom Shop pickups, stunning gold hardware all over, and more.

Custom Shop Fat ’60s Strat Pickups

These Fender Custom Shop pickups deliver the iconic, sparkling Fender tone associated with the early ’60s. Their overwound design & vintage voicing offers clear, articulate single-coil sounds that are perfect for a wide range of musical styles, capturing the essence of the golden era of guitar building.

Custom Shop Fat ’60s pickups are outfitted with beveled alnico 2 magnets, which offer warm lows, rich midrange and mellow highs, capturing the sound of aged pickups from the early ’60s for luscious vintage-inspired tones. The middle pickup is also reverse-wound reverse-polarity (RWRP) for superior hum cancelation.

Medium “C” Shape Maple Neck

The gloss-finished neck comes with a classic 1961 medium “C” shape, providing a comfortable grip for both rhythm and lead playing. Its slab Rosewood fingerboard adds smoothness and warmth to the playing feel, another tip-of-the-hat to Fender ‘boards of old.

Gloss Nitrocellulose Body Finish

The thin, vintage-style Nitrocellulose lacquer finish ages gracefully over time, developing a natural patina that enhances the guitar’s character. This finish not only looks authentic but also allows the wood to breathe, contributing to the instrument’s resonant tone.

Vintage-Accurate Synchronized Tremolo

Featuring a cold rolled steel block and bent steel saddles, the tremolo system offers classic vibrato effects while maintaining excellent tuning stability. It’s designed to replicate the feel and performance of the original ’61 Stratocaster hardware.
