Description

The BE-100 was Dave Friedman's first production guitar amplifier and is one of the most in-demand British high-gain-meets-vintage amps on the market today. The original Pink Taco was essentially the little sister to the flagship BE-100 — created for hungry, tone-conscious musicians after the revered Friedman sound in a small, compact, simplified and more affordable package!

V2 Means Better!

The Pink Taco V2 1×12" combo is Dave's latest iteration of this 20-Watt, EL84-powered, single channel fire breather! It's apt for many styles of music — from blues to classic rock and heavy rock to metal — all by just adjusting the gain and master controls, as well as the newly-added tone-altering switches.

While the Pink Taco V2 was primarily designed as a high-gain amp, it will impress you with all the different sounds it can pump out. For a more classic rock tone from the '60s and '70s; lower the gain, bring up the master, and try the new Fat Switch to achieve a thicker timbre. For a more modern sound, set the gain from 7 to 10, or try the new Sat Switch for a more saturated, heavier vibe.

EL84 Power Tubes

A lot of people don't believe that an EL84 amplifier can deliver the tight bottom-end and mid-range "thump" that an EL34-driven amp can produce. Dave Friedman begs to differ! He designed this amp to sound like a 100-watt, EL34 monster — utilising custom transformers and the clearest signal path possible.

Plug in and you will instantly notice the focused low-end and the rich, harmonically-detailed chords and single notes. The Pink Taco V2 cleans up remarkably well too with your guitar's volume control — even with the amp on higher gain settings.

Celestion Creamback Speaker

The Friedman Pink Taco V2 combo features a 16-ohm, 12" Celestion G12M 65 Creamback speaker that delivers the bass, mid response, and signature sound you would come to expect from a Friedman amp.

A Powerful Pedal Platform

While being flexible enough to cater for most genres from its single-channel design, the Pink Taco V2 can also be treated like a blank canvas for your stompboxes! It takes boosts and overdrives incredibly well, while the ultra-transparent series effects loop handles your time-based effects and modulation pedals with ease.
