Description

The Gibson Custom 1959 ES-335 Reissue VOS is a stunning recreation of one of the most iconic semi-hollow guitars ever made. Every detail from the 3-ply maple/poplar body to the long tenon hide-glue neck joint has been meticulously crafted for vintage accuracy. The 50s Rounded Medium C neck profile Indian rosewood fingerboard and pearloid dot inlays capture the feel of an original 59 model while the nitrocellulose VOS finish adds a lightly aged patina. Equipped with a pair of unpotted Custombucker Alnico III pickups this ES-335 delivers the warmth clarity and dynamic response of legendary late-50s PAFs. The solid maple centre block enhances sustain and reduces feedback making it a versatile choice for everything from jazz to rock. With premium vintage-style hardware including Kluson tuners and an ABR-1 bridge this reissue offers a truly authentic playing experience.

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitar

Explore electric, acoustic and bass guitars across a wide range of playing styles, body shapes and specifications. The most useful differences include scale length, construction, pickup type, neck profile, materials and whether the instrument is intended for amplified, acoustic or hybrid use. Use the narrower guitar categories and feature tags to compare instruments with similar designs rather than relying on appearance alone.
