Description

American guitarist, singer and songwriter George Benson needs no introduction. His unique style of Jazz, Soul and R&B has earned him multi-platinum albums, an Honorary Doctorate of Music from the Berklee College of Music and a long standing relationship of over 30 years with Ibanez guitars. Benson's first collaboration with Ibanez came in the early 90s in the form of the GB100BS. This model has since been discontinued but it's fundamental DNA can still be found in the Ibanez GB10. The smooth and soulful sound of the GB10 lends itself perfectly to Jazz and R&B and Ibanez's Prestige fret end treatment ensures it plays as smoothly as it sounds.

Key Features

  • Ebony Fretboard – Ebony produces a tight low end and mid-range with plenty of definition and snap on the top.
  • GB Special Pickups – Benson's signature pickups are mounted to the underside of the pickguard rather than directly to the body. This helps eliminate feedback and enables a superbly warm jazz tone.
  • Half Bone/Half Brass Nut – Specially designed for the GB10, the half bone/half brass nut allows notes to ring out whilst maintaining a smooth, mild tone.
  • Hard Case Included – Take the GB10 anywhere, safe in the knowledge it will be well protected against bumps and dings!

Natural

Natural guitars showcase the beauty of the wood itself, with finishes that highlight the grain, colour, and character of each piece. Favoured by players who appreciate simplicity and authenticity, natural finishes let the instrument’s craftsmanship and tonewoods speak for themselves. Whether it’s the warm glow of mahogany or the bright shimmer of maple, a natural guitar has a timeless, organic look that never goes out of style. These instruments often feel more connected to their acoustic roots, offering both visual elegance and a sense of purity that appeals to musicians across all genres.
