Here’s what MXR say about the Micro Amp Plus

For more than 20 years, the MXR Micro Amp has been a staple among the world’s top artists because of its ability to boost and sweeten up your guitar or bass tone and drive the front of your amp. The Micro Amp+ builds on that classic pedal with EQ controls and other upgrades that take this powerful boost box to the next level.

With its Gain knob, the Micro Amp+ allows you to dial up just as much gain as the original-up to +26dB-but with added EQ controls, you can now finely sculpt your boosted signal. For the classic Micro Amp sound, set the Bass and Treble controls to noon.

Additionally, the Micro Amp+ now comes equipped with low-noise op amps-so you don’t get any extra noise at super high levels-and true bypass switching. With the sturdy housing and durable components that MXR is known for, this pedal is ready for the road.

More info about this Product

Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.
