It’s the perfect blend of vintage vibes and forward‑thinking design, built on that iconic PRS recipe: a gorgeous Maple top on a Mahogany body, a super‑comfortable 22‑fret, 25” scale neck with a smooth Rosewood board, a bone nut, Phase III locking tuners and PRS’s smooth Gen III trem. It’s familiar PRS territory… but with some seriously clever electronics under the hood.
Premium tonewoods & rock-solid hardware
This beauty isn’t just easy on the eyes — it’s built to sound spectacular. The figured Maple top adds snap and definition, while the Mahogany back brings warmth and sustain for days. The Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard feel silky and addictive to play — proper “just one more riff” territory. And of course, PRS’s Gen III trem and Phase III locking tuners keep everything locked in and ready for action, no matter how ambitious your bends or divebombs get.
Serious versatility
Here’s where things get really fun. The Modern Eagle V uses a hum/single/hum five‑coil setup with an electronics layout that opens up a huge tonal palette. The 5‑way blade switch moves through intuitive pickup combinations — from tight bridge tones to warm neck sounds and loads of flavours in between.
The push/pull tone control brings both humbuckers in when you want all three pickups firing at once. Then you’ve got two mini‑toggle EQ switches that act as high‑pass filters, trimming out some low‑end thump and letting those sweet, shimmering highs shine through. Whether you want crystal‑clear cleans, punchy rhythms or singing leads, this guitar’s got it.
