Description

The MK Clean is Victory’s ultimate clean amplifier, designed by amplification legend Martin Kidd & hand-built in the UK. Victory’s ethos for the MK amps is simple: Can we make the ultimate amps, with no constraints on time, price, and materials?

Experience the absolute pinnacle of valve-powered clean tone, tuned to perfection for pristine country licks, spanky blues riffs, and that perfect high-headroom clarity that works fantastically with pedals.

Adorned with the finest Scottish leather and assembled by hand, this particular MK Clean has been spec’d up by the Andertons team in a luxurious Cognac finish with cream detailing and black leather appointments.

Key Features

  • Experience the Ultimate Clean Tone – Simply the most exquisite clean sound you’ll ever play, ideal for blues, jazz, country, and beyond.
  • Single Channel Design – A entire spectrum of beautiful clean-to-crunch tones in a single channel, perfect as a transparent platform for pedals.
  • Choose Your Voice – Choose between golden-era ’50s tones with Voice 1, or opt for Voice 2 for more upper-midrange emphasis a la ’60s British amps.
  • Lush Reverb – Enjoy warm analog ambience and that coveted metallic rattle with an Accutronics long reverb spring tank fitted as standard.
  • Luxurious Aesthetics – Decorated with Muirhead Scottish Leather and matching grille cloth, corners, and front panel, this amp is a true work of art.
  • Matching Cabinet – The Andertons team has worked with Victory to spec a matching cab for this head, right here.

The Legendary Martin Kidd

Martin Kidd made his first guitar amp in the early 1990s. Since then, he’s gone on to become one of the most influential & important British amp designers of the last 30 years, both as chief designer for Victory & Cornford Amplification, and consulting for brands like Fortin, Ampeg & PRS. Now you too can own a piece of British amp history!

Sounds To Match

The tones you’ll extract from this amplifier are every bit as premium as its stunning design. Not only is the MK Clean set up to produce spellbinding clean sounds from the offset; it comes loaded with just the right number of controls to give you some creative legroom.

Switch between gorgeous ‘50s-style voicing and more pronounced ‘60s-style Brit sounds with the ‘Voice’ switch, and add some extra top-end or rein in your bass frequencies for increased clarity with ‘Bright’ and ‘Bass Shift’ switches.

Top it off with a delightfully twangy spring reverb courtesy of an Accutronics long reverb tank, fitted upside down for a more characterful & clear decay.

The Design Process

From the concept stage through to production, every component and fitting is designed to not just get the very best sound from an amplifier – but to provide a luxurious experience.

Each MK amp is decorated with the finest material from Muirhead Scottish Leather, world-renowned providers of upholstery and leather goods for the likes of Aston Martin, Land Rover, and The Orient Express.

All audio components are fitted with gold-plated foundations to keep things cool and reliable, while the specially-selected valves are fitted with premium sockets to ensure a long, tonally-rich lifespan.

Kidd even customised each transformer, built in the UK by Demeter, to significantly enhance the response of the MK Clean.

Premium Perspex Sheet

A bespoke Victory perspex sheet is included to place between head and cabinet to protect the leather.

Amp Heads

An amp head contains the core tone and power of a guitar amplifier without the built-in speakers, allowing you to pair it with the cabinet of your choice. This setup offers greater flexibility over sound and volume, as different speaker cabinets can dramatically change the feel and character of the amp. Amp heads are available in valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, ranging from low-wattage studio models to high-powered touring rigs. They’re ideal for players who want a modular setup, precise control over their tone, and the ability to adapt their rig to different venues, cabinets, or recording situations.
