Description

Victory’s flagship ‘The Super Jack’ amplifier boasts the exact same circuitry found in their V130 ‘The Super Countess’ head, albeit with a new name that more accurately reflects its versatility! A super-charged version of the standard V30 MkII, this “jack of all trades” amp is the perfect partner for the working musician looking for a tone machine that can cover plenty of sonic territory.

Developed with Guthrie Govan

The Victory ‘The Countess’ was originally developed with British virtuoso Guthrie Govan as his “flying amp” to tour around the world with. When arguably one of the world’s most praised guitarists uses your amplifier – it must be good! ‘The Super Countess’ (Super Jack) is essentially the same amp but with more power, a larger chassis and some extra features to suit the most fastidious of tone-chasers.

2 Channels, 4 Modes

A pair of channels make Victory’s ‘The Super Jack’ a flexible workhorse. The clean channel has massive headroom and lots of chime – giving it oodles of stage-filling volume without ever sounding muddy. Activating the clean channel’s ‘Crunch’ mode brings in some tasteful gain, providing a “pushed clean” sound on the very edge of breakup – akin to the tones you can attain from Victory’s V40 and The Sheriff 44 amps.

The overdrive channel has a huge modern sound, with plenty of rock-ready distortion on tap – just the way Guthrie Govan likes it. This channel has a ‘Voice 1’ mode, which derives from channel 1 of the Victory VX ‘The Kraken’. Engage this mode and you’ll tighten the bass response and add a touch more gain for searing metal tones. All modes are footswitchable, meaning that you can change up your tone completely on-the fly!

6L6 Power Valves

Victory’s ‘The Super Jack’ comes equipped with four 6L6 power valves, synonymous with American amplifiers. 6L6s are adored for remaining clear and defined at higher volumes with a warm, scooped-out mid-range. This means that you can easily create vibrant Fender-esque tones and hair-raising high-gain sounds via the clean and overdrive channels respectively.

High & Low Power Modes

With 100-watts of headroom, the Victory V130 ‘The Super Jack’ is loud enough for almost any venue or scenario. However, if you want to explore lower volumes and a different set of dynamics – you can switch to the 30-watt mode. This enables you to attain sweet preamp saturation without blowing your ears off – great for recording or home practice!

Amp Heads

An amp head contains the core tone and power of a guitar amplifier without the built-in speakers, allowing you to pair it with the cabinet of your choice. This setup offers greater flexibility over sound and volume, as different speaker cabinets can dramatically change the feel and character of the amp. Amp heads are available in valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, ranging from low-wattage studio models to high-powered touring rigs. They’re ideal for players who want a modular setup, precise control over their tone, and the ability to adapt their rig to different venues, cabinets, or recording situations.
