Description

Yamaha has injected new life into its acclaimed Revstar series of electric guitars — originally launched in 2015. With a concept inspired by café racer motorcycles (high-performance machines that showcased their riders' personalities), these updated classic-meets-modern instruments offer "enhanced playability, versatility and tone" in the words of Yamaha's Product Marketing Manager, Dave Miner.

The latest Revstar models boast chambered bodies developed using Yamaha’s exclusive 'Acoustic Design' process — boosting tone, reducing weight, and ensuring optimal balance. Their dual Alnico V humbuckers also deliver powerful, authoritative sounds with a warm and musical mid-range, while a reshaped neck profile improves their playing comfort. Ultimately, the beauty of a Yamaha Revstar is its simplicity — understated, yet beautifully refined under the hood!

Revstar Element Model

The Element is the most accessible electric guitar in the new Revstar lineup. With an aesthetic that's in-keeping with the more expensive models, this makes the Revstar Element one of the coolest-looking instruments in its class — available in a range of gloss racing-style finishes. However, the Revstar Element is unique for its push/pull 'Dry Switch' high-pass filter built into the tone knob — a popular feature carried over from the original Yamaha Revstar.

Key Features

  • Chambered Mahogany Body — The innovative chambering pattern was developed using advanced measurement and modelling tools to specifically shape tone and increase resonance while lowering weight.
  • 3-Piece Mahogany Neck — Multi-piece design adds strength; improving tuning stability.
  • Satin Neck Finish — Provides a slippery, non-sticky feel for fast playability.
  • Jumbo Frets — Modern size enhances tone and offers more control.
  • Alnico V Humbuckers — Proprietary pickups deliver the punchy sounds you'd expect from humbuckers, with added warmth.
  • Push/Pull 'Dry Switch' High-Pass Filter — Provides more prominent highs and tighter bass, without the decreased volume and added hum that comes with conventional coil-splitting.
