The ESP LTD Alexi Hexed is among one of the last guitars to be designed by the late Children of Bodom/Bodom After Midnight frontman, Alexi Laiho. Forming part of the Alexi Laiho Signature Series, the Alexi Hexed is a high octane, no nonsense metal machine. The LTD Alexi Hexed model is loaded with premium features including a single EMG pickup and a Floyd Rose 1000 locking tremolo and comes in a deluxe ESP hardshell case!

Construction

The LTD Alexi Hexed features an iconic offset V shaped Alder body with Alder wings for a focussed mid range tone, perfect for chunky metal riffs! The body is adorned in a Purple Fade finish with classy pinstripes for a ferociously unique look. Featuring a neck-through-body design, the Alexi Hexed offers unparalleled access to the upper frets as well as exceptional sustain.

The 3-piece Maple neck has a thin U profile for lighting fast runs and the satin finish delivers incredible playability. The fingerboard is made from Macassar Ebony which has a snappy quality that is favoured by metal guitarists. It features 24 extra-jumbo frets allowing for extreme string bends and between frets 19 and 24, the fingerboard is actually scalloped. Scalloped fingerboards allow for better grip on the strings whilst bending, and enable the player to actually push the strings on their vertical axis for some interesting pitch bending effects.

Electronics

The LTD Alexi Hexed is loaded with a single snarling EMG pickup, a brand that is synonymous with heavy metal music. In the bridge position is an EMG HZ F-H2 passive humbucker, a ceramic high-gain pickup that offers excellent presence and clarity with a punchy response. When it comes to controls, the Alexi Hexed keeps things simple with just a master volume so there’s nothing to get in your way when you’re belting out brutal, gut busting riffs!

Hardware

The LTD Alexi Hexed boasts high end components from every angle. At the top is a set of legendary Grover tuners for rock solid tuning stability. At the other end is a Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo which delivers perfect tuning and intonation no mater how punishing your playing gets!
