Oval “C” Roasted Maple Neck
The Roasted Maple neck is heat-treated to increase stability, durability, moisture resistance, and tolerance to temperature changes. The heat treatment provides a well-balanced attack and tone and rich sustain. To achieve supreme neck grip comfort, the fretboard edge is finished with a smooth curve.
Ergonomic Rear Body Contour
A shallow body back contour and a big forearm contour make the guitar body fit the player naturally, thus increasing playing comfort. The AZ body has a deep waist and different radii on each body edge curve, making it easier to play in both standing or sitting positions.
Dyna-MIX9 Switching System with Alter Switch
The dyna-MIX 9 offers nine sound variations and can switch between humbucker and single coil modes with just a flick of the mini switch. One mode even simulates a humbucking sound from the combination of two single-coil pickups.
DiMarzio Air Norton / True Velvet / The Tone Zone Pickups
The Air Norton is a warm, open-sounding pickup with enough power to balance with all bridge humbuckers. The True Velvet pickup in the middle was designed to be clean and bright, while still delivering full clarity. The Tone Zone is hot enough to qualify as a high-output pickup, but it has a wider dynamic range ' hard picking will produce a lot of power, and softer picking will be much cleaner and quieter.
