Building on the success of their acclaimed American Vintage and Original ranges, Fender's revamped American Vintage II Series takes things up a notch! Comprising dozens of remarkably precise recreations of timeless Fender designs, these guitars are built with period-accurate bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes, and meticulously-voiced, year-specific pickups. The American Vintage II Series painstakingly pays tribute to the revolutionary instruments that altered the course of popular music forever, with each model capturing the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone.

The American Vintage II 1966 Jazzmaster is a direct descendant of the original, and a Fender offset guitar in its purest form! Featuring a comfortable "C"-shaped Maple neck with a 7.25"-radius round-lam Rosewood fingerboard and vintage tall frets — this JM provides a nostalgic, "time capsule" feel. Characteristic of production in 1966, the Vintage II Jazzmaster also sports classy white neck binding, pearl block inlays and single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuners. The patented "floating" tremolo, adjustable bridge with threaded saddles and Pure Vintage '66 Jazzmaster pickups (wired to the signature rhythm and lead circuits) deliver classic tone and legendary Fender feel.

Key Features

  • Gloss Nitro Finish — Nitrocellulose is a famously thin, vintage-style lacquer that allows the instrument to breathe for beautiful resonance. It ages nicely too, yielding an organic "played-in" feel that wears naturally over time.
  • Pure Vintage '66 Jazzmaster Pickups — These traditionally-voiced single-coils produce iconic, jangly Fender tones in abundance!
  • Floating Tremolo — Allows for plenty of vintage vibrato effects; perfect for washy "surf" guitar warbles and flamboyant alt-rock pitch bends.
  • "C"-Shaped Maple Neck — A period-correct neck profile that's synonymous with '60s Fenders. It plays like a dream!
  • Pearloid Block Inlays — Introduced in 1966, the bound neck with pearloid block fingerboard inlays give this Jazzmaster an exquisite "dolled up" look.
  • Vintage-Style Case — A rugged black hard case is included, offering excellent protection. It features a vibrant orange interior too!
  • Made in Corona, California — All American Vintage II guitars are constructed in Fender's main California factory; the beating heart of Fender craftsmanship.
