So, why did this Les Paul get the honour of being named Supreme?

Gibson is excited to announce the return of the Les Paul Supreme. With a refreshed feature set, it is bound to overshadow everything else in sight and be one of the most exciting new releases of the year. It features a beautiful AAA-figured Maple top on a mahogany body with Ultra-Modern Weight Relief. The Mahogany neck has an Ebony fretboard with a compound radius and Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays.

The neck has a Modern Contoured Heel for exceptional upper fret access, and the headstock is adorned with a striking new mother-of-pearl inlay inspired by a design from the 1940s that was discovered in the Gibson archives. The Burstbucker Pro and Burstbucker Pro + pickups are paired with push/pull Volume and Tone potentiometers for flexible coil tap, phase, and Pure Bypass switching. The three gorgeous finishes are elegantly highlighted with gold hardware, making this not only a great sounding and highly flexible instrument but also an exceptionally beautiful-looking modern rock machine!

Key Features

  • Ultra-Modern Weight Relief – Through careful tweaking of the modern formula, the mad scientists at Gibson were able to further alleviate the weight of the instrument without budging on sound.
  • Modern Contoured Heel – exceptional upper fret access!
  • Burstbucker Pro Humbuckers – Fatter, meatier tone with more drive and attack. The Burstbucker Pro’s characteristic sweet harmonic complexity and crystalline clarity derive from its slightly unbalanced coil windings. Alnico 5 magnets are used in place of the traditional Alnico 2, yielding a fatter, meatier tone with more drive and attack, providing classic Gibson Patent Applied For tone with a hint of attitude.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
