Pairing a sleek body shape with two custom TV Jones humbuckers and a wiring configuration that allows access to inner and outer coil pairings via push-pull tone knobs, players can conjure Weir’s notoriously slinky tones while also developing their own original sound. An ebony fingerboard caps a remarkably comfortable slim C-shape neck, while a smooth neck transition and deep cutaway allow for easy access to higher frets. Additional premium features include Jescar fretwire, a custom D’Angelico Shield tremolo, and locking tuners from Grover. Stage-tested with Dead and Company for years and designed to offer the perfect balance of airy warmth and Weir’s long-sought “clang of cold steel”, the Bobby Weir 3 is an undeniable tonal powerhouse.
