The Gibson Les Paul Studio Session takes the core features and ideology of the esteemed Studio model but reimages it based on years of customer feedback as well as the wants and needs of modern players. Featuring a selection of thought-out upgrades this Les Paul sets the new standard in terms of quality and price.

Sticking with the tried and tested Les Paul wood combination of a Mahogany body in conjunction with a Maple top, the Studio Session pushes the Studio model even closer to some of the more premium models thanks to its eye-catching AA Figured Maple top. With its striking dark Ebony fingerboard, this electric guitar is in a league of its own. The ’57 Classic and Classic Plus humbucking pickups offer authentic vintage Gibson tones and its carefully selected push/pull control knobs offers more versatility than ever before. On top of all that, the Les Paul Studio Session also features a contoured heel for unrivalled comfort towards the body. With its stunning finish options and included Gibson soft-shell case the Les Paul Studio Session is the perfect option for players who want an authentic Les Paul that does it all!

Key Features

  • Contoured Heel – The Les Paul Studio Session features a modern sleek feeling contoured neck heel joint in conjunction with the Slim Taper neck profile for quick and effortless access to the entire fingerboard.
  • Versatile Electronics – With push/pull controls on all volume and tone knobs, this Les Paul offers a smorgasbord of different tonal options. From coil-tapping to phase switching and even bypassing the tone control from the bridge pickup for even more oomph.
  • Soft Case Included – The Gibson Les Paul Studio Session comes equipped with a luxuriously fitted Gibson Soft Shell case. Protect your Les Paul in style and rest easy knowing your Gibson is safe and secure at home or on the road.

’57 Classic and Classic Plus

First introduced in the ‘90s the Gibson ’57 Classic has become a staple in the Gibson Humbucker lineup. Utilising Alnico 2 magnets, nickel slugs and nickel-plated pole pieces the ’57 classic humbuckers authentically recreated the highly desired PAF tone, dynamics and response. The Classic Plus in the bridge position faithfully reproduces a PAF humbucker that was accidentally slightly overwound providing an extra dose of punch, perfect for pushing your amp or overdrives even further and cutting through any mix for a solo.

Ultra-Modern Weight-Relief

Gibson’s most thoroughly thought-out weight-relief system produces the lightest Les Paul possible without any sacrifice to the famed Les Paul tone! Continuing from where Gibson’s Modern weight-relief system left off, the Ultra-Modern system pushes things even further in the quest to strike the optimum balance between tone, weight and resonance. Each of the systems holes has been carefully calculated to ensure that this Les Paul Studio is as light as possible while still maintaining the typical solid body mid-focused thump that Les Pauls is famous for and not stepping into more semi-hollow tone territories. It also ensures that the balance between the head and body remains the same.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
