Crafted as part of a limited run of premium GS Mini models, the GS Mini-e Koa looks great and sounds amazing. The back and sides made of exotic veneered Hawaiian koa, and Taylor’s stage-ready ES-B acoustic electronics, including onboard ES tone and volume control knobs give you great tone and fantastic live sound. The compact Mini’s scaled-down design blends ultra-portability with the voice and projection of a full-size guitar, while Taylor’s patented NT neck guarantees signature Taylor playability.

Key Features

  • GS Mini – A scaled-down GS that’s anything but small.
  • Layered Koa – Beautifully figured and durable, layered koa provides attractive visuals and tone at an accessible price.
  • Hawaiian Koa – A koa top’s visual beauty is instantly inspiring, while its sonic rewards unfold over time, as warm, sweet overtones gradually emerge.
  • ES-B – This pickup/preamp combo includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner.

GS Mini

The Taylor GS Mini is a shrunk down version of the incredible Grand Symphony body shape that quickly became a favorite of artists all around the world. From strummers to finger pickers the Grand Symphony was one of the guitars to have thanks to its versatile tonal range, stunning dynamic definition and strong projection that means you will always be head. This shrunk down version looks to keep all of these traits but at a much smaller size meaning you will never have to go anywhere without your precious acoustic again. Due to the body being a lot smaller that the normal Grand Symphony it may not have the punch or the power but it still has the same incredible versatile tone.

Layered Koa Wood

Like Taylor’s other layered wood options, layered koa features an all-wood laminated construction, in this case with interior and exterior layers of beautifully-figured koa veneer separated by a middle core layer of poplar. Though the tonal properties of layered wood aren’t as complex as solid wood, the construction method enables us to conserve tonewood resources and offer attractive, durable instruments at a more inviting price. A Koa top and Taylor craftsmanship ensure a clear, balanced tonal response.

Taylor Quality

If you have ever played a Taylor guitar you will immediately know what we mean when we talk about the quality of the guitar. Every part of this guitar has been perfectly designed so that you get the best guitar for the cost possible. Add in Taylors tour worthy build quality and reliability and you have an unbeatable gigging guitar that will not tear your bank account to shreds.

ES-B Pickup System

The ES-B pickup incorporates Taylor’s Expression System 2 (ES2) piezo design elements and features an onboard preamp with a built-in digital chromatic tuner. The preamp/tuner unit features an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, along with Tone and Volume controls. The preamp/tuner is powered by two button cell 3v lithium (CR2032) batteries. Two new batteries will provide approximately 300 hours of use. The ES-B conserves battery life using a standard on/off system that will automatically turn off if left on over 3 minutes. A low battery indicator on the LED display (located on the preamp circuit board) will display an “L” when the battery reaches 4.5 volts.
