The Yamaha APX Guitars are some of the most popular guitars we sell. They are based around creating a great live sound from a small bodied instrument.

The Yamaha APXT2 takes this concept and then shrinks it for a truly transportable travel sized instrument. Now you dont have to weigh up the pros and cons with your other half for taking the instrument on holiday. You can take this guitar wherever you go: It doesn’t take up valuable packing space on a road trip, it isn’t large, unwealdly and cumbersome to carry around and feels and sounds great to play.

However its not just a cheap and cheerful travel guitar. The built in ART pickup system gives you flexibility to plug in and perform with a great tone, thanks to its Acoustic Resonance Transducer. It even comes with a built in tuner, so you’re never left short when away from home.

Stuff About Acoustic Guitars

Acoustic guitars produce their sound naturally through the vibration of the strings and body, offering a direct and expressive playing experience. They come in a wide range of styles, including steel string and classical designs, each with its own feel and tonal character. Body shape, wood choice, and construction all influence warmth, projection, and balance, making acoustics suitable for everything from gentle fingerstyle to confident strumming. Whether used for songwriting, practice, or performance, acoustic guitars provide a simple, honest connection between the player and the music.

Stuff About Electro-Acoustic Guitars

Electro-acoustic guitars combine the natural sound and feel of an acoustic guitar with built-in electronics for amplification. Fitted with pickups and preamp controls, they allow you to plug directly into an amp, PA system, or recording setup while retaining an acoustic character. They’re ideal for live performance, rehearsal, and home recording, offering volume control and tonal adjustment without relying solely on microphones. Electro-acoustic guitars suit players who want the warmth and responsiveness of an acoustic instrument with the flexibility to play amplified when needed.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.
