The SolidGoldFX AURRAS Optical Vibraphase is a powerful effects pedal meets the legacy of its predecessor the Athena Vibraphase in a harmonious blend of legendary, vintage Uni-Vibe textures, with innovative contemporary prowess.

Key Features

  • Optical Phase Shifter – The 2-stage asymmetrical phase shifting capabilities offer a clear and controlled signal with minimal distortion.
  • AllAnalogue Circuit – Produces an authentic signal path from input to output.
  • Individually Controlled OptoIsolators – Precisely control your tone and the amount of oscillation in your sound.
  • 2 Mode Versatility – Loaded with 2 modes, the AURRAS gives you plenty of soundscapes the experiment with and sound like your favourite artists such as David Gilmour.

Rich & Complex Soundscapes

Producing a 2-stage asymmetric phase shifter, the AURRAS is built around a pair of selected and individually controlled opto-isolators offering a clearer signal with minimal distortion while simultaneously isolating the audio path from any possible LFO interference. The dual LFO setup, powered by a microprocessor, provides limitless sonic flexibility.

Drawing inspiration from albums such as ‘Band of Gypsys’ or ‘Dark Side of the Moon’, the AURRAS delivers the lush modulation and heavy pulse that have shaped Rock & Roll history.

Simple Tone-Shaping Controls

With its dual LFOs, expression pedal input, adjustable dry mix control, and offset combined with Speed, Depth and Level knobs, AURRAS transcends eras with a rich tapestry of intriguing, lush liquid soundscapes from its all-analogue audio circuit.

You can also ramp down your LFO speed by simply holding down the Bypass Footswitch. This will automatically decrease your speed to half. Repeat this process as many times as you’d like to achieve the desired speed.

LFO Offset Capabilities

The AURRAS runs on a pair of opto-isolators each operating on an independent LFO. While most Phaser or Modulation pedals use a single LFO to create their effect, independent LFOs can open a new array of effects by offsetting their symmetry.

The OFFSET ADJ knob and OFFSET MODE FREQ|PHASE knobs work in tandem. For a more conventional effect, turn the OFFSET ADJ mode fully counterclockwise, allowing both LFOs to be in sync with no offset.

The FREQUENCY OFFSET adds rhythmic patterns by slowing down the second LFO, while the PHASE OFFSET fine-tunes the throb by introducing asymmetry between the LFOs.

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

The Important stuff

Pedal — Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects. Whether you are adding grit, space, movement or control, a pedal becomes part of your playing rather than just an add-on. Exploring different pedals is about discovering what responds to your touch and helps your sound feel more like your own..
