Forming part of the Gretsch Streamliner collection, the smaller bodied G2655T Streamliner Centre-Block Double-Cut puts one of Gretsch’s most iconic designs into the hands of players at any level.

Designed to offer the authentic Gretsch sound and aesthetics in combination with a sleek modern feel, this semi-hollow Streamliner is perfect for players seeking a guitar that can do it all. Featuring a duo of Broad’Tron BT-3S humbuckers with push/pull coil splitting, a comfortable soft C-shaped neck, in combination with a real bone nut, this versatile workhorse is made to perform!

Key Features

  • Signature Gretsch Tone – Broad’Tron BT-3S humbucking pickups are designed to deliver impactful punch with lots of tonal clarity.
  • Expertly Designed Semi-Hollow – The semi-hollow arched Maple body with chambered centre-block gives a rich fullness, deep resonance and a “big-body sound”.
  • Comfortable Playing Experience – The soft “C” neck combined with the medium jumbo frets make playing smooth and effortless.
  • Coil-Splitting – The coil-splitting provides useful single coil sounds, adding another layer of tonal versatility to an already strong sonic arsenal.

All-New Broad’Tron BT-3S Pickups

The G2655T features our new Broad’Tron BT-3S pickups. Utilizing a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets, the new BT-3S pickups provide stronger mids, tight but full lows, and smooth clear highs that retain a smooth and musical presence.

Versatile Controls with Coil-Splitting

The Streamliner’s sonic power is harnessed and shaped by the traditional control layout – neck and bridge pickup volume controls, a master tone control, master volume control and three-way pickup switching.

The addition of a push/pull pot on the master volume control allows coil-splitting to provide useful single coil sounds, adding another layer of tonal versatility to an already strong sonic arsenal.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
