Heres what Jackson say about the Jackson Pro Series Adam Blackstone “The Gladys” Concert Bass in Black Stone:

“With massive success on TV and radio, Adam Blackstone has served as musical director for some of the biggest names in the music industry. A Grammy award winning writer and Emmy nominated Musical Director; Adam is one of the top musical masterminds in today’s live show events.

The Adam Blackstone “Gladys” Jackson Pro Series Signature Concert™ Bass, is a modern take on a legendary Jackson® shape. Carefully designed with features to meet the needs of the artist. The model’s name is a celebration to Adam’s grandmother: Mrs. Gladys Jackson.

This 34”-scale bass pairs a resonant poplar body and graphite-reinforced bolt-on neck design to generate formidable sustain, while the custom neck profile and 9”– 16” compound radius maple fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets make for super comfortable playability.

The heart of this five-string bass has custom Jackson BBE J-style pickups, voiced to the artist specifications, paired with an active 3-band EQ circuit to dial in that perfect tone. A Jackson Hi-Mass bridge enhances note attack and sustain without altering tone while the open-gear tuners combine for stellar tuning stability with improved note punch and sustain.

The Adam Blackstone “Gladys” Jackson Pro Series Signature Concert bass ups the ante in the style realm with all-new vivid black stone finish, creme pickguard, black block inlays, a mixture of black and gold hardware, dome-style control knobs, Jackson 4-and-one color matched paddle headstock and a gig bag. Highly affordable, this is the perfect bass for the musician who requires nothing less than the latest in high-performance bass technology.”

Stuff About Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.

Stuff About Electric Bass Guitars

Electric bass guitars provide the low-end foundation that supports rhythm, harmony, and groove within a band. Designed for clarity, punch, and control, they translate string vibration into a focused, amplified signal that locks in with drums and drives the music forward. Different scale lengths, pickup configurations, and electronics influence feel and tone, from deep, rounded lows to tight, articulate attack. Whether used for simple supportive lines or more expressive playing, electric bass guitars are essential for shaping the feel and energy of a track.
