Neo-classical shred master Yngwie Malmsteen is one of the most influential guitar virtuosos of the last 40 years. Throughout his entire career, Malmsteen has been synonymous with the Fender Stratocaster, and has had a signature model with the world-famous brand since 1986. This made in Japan version of his unique artist guitar comes equipped with many of Malmsteen's favourite features, including a fully-scalloped Maple neck with 21 medium jumbo frets, a large '70s-style headstock, a brass nut, and a set of his searing-hot signature Seymour Duncan YJM Fury Strat pickups.

Key Features

  • Alder Body — Popular timber synonymous with Fender guitars. Offers a balanced tonal foundation for the pickups, with tight lows, bold mids and singing highs.
  • Slim "C" Maple Neck — A thin neck profile that allows you to play at lightning speed like Yngwie!
  • Scalloped Fingerboard — Increases the space beneath the strings for exceptional note control; enabling wide vibrato and pitch-perfect string bends. Fitted with 21 medium jumbo frets.
  • Seymour Duncan YJM Fury Pickups — Based on Seymour Duncan's original patented "Stack" design, the YJM Fury pickup uses custom-length alnico 5 rod magnets and a unique coil architecture to bring you that perfect balance of sweet fluidity and articulation that is Yngwie J. Malmsteen!
  • Vintage-Style Synchronised Tremolo — Highly-responsive and smooth, so that you can embellish chords with subtle warbles or add craziness to your leads with dramatic pitch bends and divebombs.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
