The Epiphone Coronet is a vintage classic, adored by collectors for its stripped down yet elegant design. First introduced in 1959 and regarded as one of Epiphone's first solid-body electric guitars, the bang-for-your-buck brand has now brought this iconic model back to life with many of the original traits intact – namely the symmetrical, double-cut body shape.

Key features include a punchy Epiphone P-90 PRO Dogear pickup, CTS pots, a high-quality Graph Tech NuBone nut and a reduced-size Kalamazoo headstock with striking "Bikini" badge detail.

Rock-Solid Construction

Boasting an all-Mahogany construction, the Epiphone Coronet projects a potent voice that's rich in lows and sizzling with mid-range, while the traditional glued-in neck joint guarantees long, piano-like sustain. The medium "C"-shaped Mahogany neck is comfortable for contemporary and old-school players alike, with a smooth Indian Laurel fingerboard and 22 'Medium Jumbo' frets offering a controllable feel under the fingers.

Epiphone P-90 PRO Dogear Pickup

The Epiphone Coronet is instantly recognisable for its single P-90 pickup. While simple and perhaps lacking in versatility, the proprietary Epiphone PRO P-90 Dogear pickup fitted in this new Coronet has a spellbinding sound that's perfect for punk, classic rock and even blues styles. Delivering plenty of mid-range aggression and a subtly-compressed character like all good P-90s should – this pickup is pure rock n' roll!

Genuine CTS Pots

Master volume and tone controls make on-the-fly sonic adjustments easy, and allow you to attain a wide range of sounds even from the lone pickup. The potentiometers are made by industry-leading electronics company CTS to ensure a lifetime of reliable use. They'll never let you down onstage!

Vintage-Style Hardware

Epiphone could have easily fitted its reimagined Coronet with modern appointments, but they wanted to retain the spirit of the original by installing vintage-style hardware; for that truly nostalgic look. Sporting a "Lightning Bar" compensated wraparound bridge, ivory-button tuning machines and a white butterfly pickguard with foil "E" logo – this 21st Century Coronet doesn't forget any of its essential late '50s roots.

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
