On the left, the AMP section channels the character of a legendary British amplifier known for its unmistakable roar and harmonic depth. It captures the full range of that circuit’s gain structure, from clean and edge-of-breakup tones to fully saturated drive and features JFET technology combined with an internal voltage booster that elevates the 9V DC supply to high-voltage operation, providing authentic amp-like response, enhanced dynamics, and massive headroom. On the right, the FUZZ section takes cues from a revered ’90s boutique design, fine-tuned to our specifications for improved flexibility and clarity while preserving the massive, singing sustain of the original.

Used separately or stacked, these two sides deliver everything from rich, classic crunch to thick, saturated walls of sagging fuzz; a complete palette that captures our vision of unapologetic rock tone, from timeless classics to modern stoner and doom sounds.

Key Features

  • Dual-drive pedal combining an Orange OR120-style amp circuit with a boutique fuzz voice influenced by the Frantone Peachfuzz, covering tones from classic rock crunch to full stoner-doom saturation.
  • AMP section features JFET-based circuit, running at internally boosted high voltage for true amp-like response and captures the full gain range and harmonic complexity of the legendary Orange OR120.
  • Rooted in late ’60s/early ’70s Orange/Matamp circuits first adopted by Peter Green, later defining tones from Andy Powell and Noel Gallagher, and still favoured in heavy rock, stoner, and doom for its massive headroom and thick low end.
  • FUZZ section inspired by Frantone Peachfuzz, a design rooted in the early boutique pedal scene, finetuned for greater flexibility, articulation, and modern usability.
  • Passive effects loop between the two sections for creative routing and stacking options.

Specifications

  • Independent operation of the FUZZ and AMP sections.
  • Click-less true bypass design via high-quality relays for each section.
  • 2 Footswitches / 2 Status LEDs – one for each effect section.
  • Power-up bypass/engage preset function for the footswitches.
  • Top-mounted jacks.
  • Passive series effects loop to connect pedals between the two sections or use them separately as independent effects.
  • Power Supply: Use only 9V DC, 2.1 mm x 5.5 mm, centre negative (not included).
  • Current consumption 82mA.
  • Rich “burnt orange” with a subtle bronze warmth, die-cast enclosure with colour-coded lettering for the control section (black for the FUZZ section, white for the AMP section).
  • Dimensions: (W x L x H): 120 x 97 x 49 mm
  • Weight 423 g

Fuzz (Right Footswitch)

  • Controls:
    • Fuzz: adjusts intensity and saturation, from smooth to explosive
    • Tone: shapes EQ, from dark and woolly to bright and cutting
    • Volume: controls output level of the fuzz section
    • RAW: tighter, lower-gain vintage fuzz
    • BURN: higher gain, more sustain and low-end

Amp in a Box JFET Circuit (Left Footswitch)

  • Controls:
    • Gain: control the amount of amp drive/saturation, from clean to full saturation
    • F.A.T. (Fatness Adjustment Tweak): adjusts low-mid emphasis and gain character v
    • Hz (Bass): low-frequency control
    • kHz (Treble): high-frequency control
    • H.F.D. (High Frequency Dynamics): adds upper harmonic content, drive and presence
    • Master: controls overall output level. Can be used as a boost/preamp

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

The Important stuff

Amp — An amp is an amplifier used to boost the signal from a guitar and shape its overall tone and volume. It plays a major role in how a guitar sounds, influencing everything from clean clarity to natural overdrive and distortion, and is a core part of any guitar setup for both practice and live performance.. Circuits. Drive — Drive is an effect category that adds gain to the guitar signal, creating anything from light breakup to heavy distortion. Drive pedals are used to add warmth, sustain, and character, shaping how a guitar responds to picking dynamics and helping it cut through a mix.. Dual — Dual describes gear designed with two of the same or complementary features working together, such as dual channels, dual pickups, or dual effects. This allows greater flexibility and tonal range, letting players switch or blend between sounds for different styles, settings, or playing dynamics without changing their setup.. Tube — Tube refers to valve-based amplification or circuitry that uses vacuum tubes to amplify the guitar signal. Tube amps and tube-driven pedals are valued for their warm tone, natural compression, and smooth overdrive, responding dynamically to playing strength and volume changes for a more expressive feel..
