Here’s what Alvarez has to say about the Alvarez Artist Grand Auditorium Spruce top Mahogany back Shadowburst

The AG60 is an elegant and versatile Grand Auditorium offering instant response with lots of projection for strumming and true clarity for fingerstyle. The Grand Auditorium’s narrow waist helps to accentuate trebles while the wide lower bout generates plenty of air volume for bass response, creating a dynamic and broad tonal landscape.

The FS6 forward-shifted bracing pattern allows for a larger soundboard area to heighten vibration, which is aided by a high-quality North American Sitka top and premium components throughout, all working together to deliver an engaging playing experience.

The AG60 is finished in our flawless Shadowburst and fitted with the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze. The StagePro Bronze is a small-footprint side-mounted EQ incorporating the renowned LR Baggs Element under-saddle pickup. This is a low-profile unit with a large backlit tuner, volume, bass and treble controls and phase. The battery box is built into the end pin jack compartment for easy access with a simple push to open and change batteries.

Stuff About Acoustic Guitars

Acoustic guitars produce their sound naturally through the vibration of the strings and body, offering a direct and expressive playing experience. They come in a wide range of styles, including steel string and classical designs, each with its own feel and tonal character. Body shape, wood choice, and construction all influence warmth, projection, and balance, making acoustics suitable for everything from gentle fingerstyle to confident strumming. Whether used for songwriting, practice, or performance, acoustic guitars provide a simple, honest connection between the player and the music.

Stuff About Electro-Acoustic Guitars

Electro-acoustic guitars combine the natural sound and feel of an acoustic guitar with built-in electronics for amplification. Fitted with pickups and preamp controls, they allow you to plug directly into an amp, PA system, or recording setup while retaining an acoustic character. They’re ideal for live performance, rehearsal, and home recording, offering volume control and tonal adjustment without relying solely on microphones. Electro-acoustic guitars suit players who want the warmth and responsiveness of an acoustic instrument with the flexibility to play amplified when needed.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

The Important stuff

Auditorium — An auditorium guitar is a medium-sized acoustic guitar known for its balanced, clear sound and comfortable playing feel. It delivers controlled bass, detailed mids, and crisp highs, making it ideal for fingerstyle playing, light to moderate strumming, and situations where note clarity matters. With a slightly narrower waist than larger body styles, it sits comfortably when played seated and performs well both on stage and in the studio. Its even tonal response makes it a versatile choice for players who want an acoustic guitar that handles a wide range of playing styles with ease.. Cutaway — A cutaway is a design feature on an acoustic or electric guitar where part of the body is shaped away near the neck joint. This allows easier access to the higher frets, making lead playing and complex chord work more comfortable without significantly affecting the overall tone.. Left-Handed Guitar — Left-handed guitars are built specifically for left-handed players, with the body shape, controls, and string orientation reversed to provide a natural and comfortable playing experience. Available across electric, acoustic, classical, and bass styles, they offer the same variety of tones, features, and build quality as right-handed models. Using a properly designed left-handed guitar helps with balance, technique, and confidence, allowing players to focus on developing their sound without having to adapt to an instrument that doesn’t suit the way they play.. Shadowburst with Cutaway.
