The Alvarez Performer AG60CE Grand Auditorium Electro Acoustic Guitar combines a hand-selected ‘A+’ grade solid Sitka Spruce top alongside a stunning Mahogany back and sides, with an elegantly carved comfort right-arm bevel and versatile SYS 250 preamp to form a striking electro acoustic that is built for performance, whether at home or on the stage.

Featuring a specially designed headstock with an increased angle in partnership with Alvarez’s bi-level bridge, this acoustic has a responsive and full sound with a more even string tension between each string. Thanks to its articulate, well-balanced tone, this grand auditorium-shaped acoustic excels at both fingerstyle playing and strumming and is perfect for just about every style of music.

The Grand Auditorium Design

As acoustic guitar shapes go, the Grand Auditorium is relatively new. Introduced in the ‘90s, it offered a middle ground between the hefty Dreadnought and the more compact 000 (or Orchestra model). This often means a slimmer body with a cutaway, while keeping a broad lower bout to ensure a full-bodied sound.

Who is Alvarez?

Established in 1965 by major US instrument distributor St. Louis Music, Alvarez teamed up with master luthier Kazuo Yairi with the aim of producing the finest guitars in the world.

The success of Alvarez-Yairi guitars helped put the brand on the market, and are still handmade in Kani, Japan to this day. In the decades that followed, Alvarez significantly expanded their operation and now produces one of the most extensive and diverse ranges of acoustic instruments in the world.
