AmpRx’s BrownBox 200 Series delivers all the goods of their original BrownBox, but is made for powering amplifiers and gear built for 220V (in 220-240VAC/50Hz countries).

How it works

Depending on where you are and what time of day it is, you can receive voltage above what’s recommended for your amplifier. That’s not good for it, or your ears. The AmpRx BrownBox 200 Series is an adjustable AC power supply (a voltage controller) for your amp or tube gear that helps you run your equipment at the optimal voltage. Just plug the BrownBox into the wall, adjust the voltage and then plug your gear into the BrownBox 200 Series. Simple!

The BrownBox features flexible voltage reduction options that let you bring your power input down to an optimal level, resulting in significantly improved amplifier performance.

What comes with the BrownBox 200?

Every BrownBox 200 ships with a local IEC power supply cable (UK, Germany, etc.), a multi-IEC adapter for powering amps that have hardwired power cables, plus a male-female IEC cable for powering amps that do not have hardwired power cables.

Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

Combo Amps

Combo amps combine an amplifier and speaker into a single, self-contained unit, making them a practical and popular choice for many players. They’re easy to transport, simple to set up, and available in a wide range of power ratings, from small practice amps to powerful stage-ready models. Combo amps come in valve, solid-state, hybrid, and digital designs, often with built-in effects and tone controls. Their all-in-one nature makes them ideal for home use, rehearsals, recording, and live performance where convenience and reliable tone matter.
