The B.U.S.S is derived from the circuits of the Burn Unit and the Direct Drive Super Sport. The “five watt world” edition uses these circuits to celebrate two historic tones; Eric Clapton’s JTM-45 from the landmark “Beano” album, and those created by Alexander Dumble’s Overdrive Special #39.

The left setting of the left toggle switch is a Blues Breaker style Super Sport. The right setting is for the Burn Unit mode. This is a louder and very punchy setting that gives Dumble-like thickness to your bridge pickup and can push a neck pickup all the way to warm flute-like textures.

Key Features

  • Two Overdrives In One Pedal – Use the left toggle to switch between overdrives. Switch left for the Super Sport mode, and right for dumble-like thickness, that can push a neck pickup all the way to warm flute-like textures.
  • Tactile Responsiveness – Even the smallest amount of adjustment to the controls will shape your tone in different ways, so you can carefully craft your dream sound.
  • High Harmonics & Ultra Dynamics – Use the top right toggle switch to choose between three different EQ styles, to shape your tone even further.

Three-Way Dynamic Switch

The Right toggle is the three position “harmonics and dynamics switch.” Right setting is low harmonics (soft OD) this has added clarity with a sweet top. Center position is high harmonics (adds edge and distortion) great for added sustain and aggressive upper mids . Lastly, the left setting (low dynamics) gives you squishy vintage compression along with a soft upper mid, and a little less volume. Note: noisy pickups can get exposed at high drive setting in this position.

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

The Important stuff

Drive — Drive is an effect category that adds gain to the guitar signal, creating anything from light breakup to heavy distortion. Drive pedals are used to add warmth, sustain, and character, shaping how a guitar responds to picking dynamics and helping it cut through a mix.. Pedal — Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects. Whether you are adding grit, space, movement or control, a pedal becomes part of your playing rather than just an add-on. Exploring different pedals is about discovering what responds to your touch and helps your sound feel more like your own.. White — White describes a clean, classic finish commonly used on guitars, pedals, and amplifiers. It offers a timeless look that can range from bright and modern to aged or vintage-styled, pairing easily with a wide variety of hardware and designs while keeping a simple, uncluttered appearance..
