Iconic BC Rich guitar models, pushed to the limit…that’s what the Extreme Series is all about! Encompassing a diverse range of high-performance, high-octane guitars with first-class features, the Extreme Series is a shredder’s dream!

The Shredzilla Exotic is a sleek double cut designed with shredders and metal players in mind. Featuring an ergonomic body shape and a no heel, neck thru body construction, the Shredzilla Exotic practically plays itself! A 5-piece Wenge/Maple neck delivers improved stability and the two large cutaways allow for excellent access to each of the 24 frets. A beautiful 14″ radius Ebony fingerboard lends itself perfectly to lead playing, anywhere on the neck, whilst crushingly heavy riffs feel great under your fingers too!

BC Rich haven’t skimped on hardware either! A set of Grover locking Rotomatic tuners and a Hipshot hardtail bridge ensure optimal tuning stability and intonation, no matter how hard you play. At the heart of the Shredzilla Exotic is a pair of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers. Boasting multiple voicings, accessible via a push/pull control, these modern pickups will do just about everything from sparkling clean to searing high gain with ease.

Key Features

  • Fishman® Fluence Modern Humbuckers – These modern, multi-voice pickups are optimised for high-gain tones whilst keeping background interference and hum to a minimum. They are mounted directly to the body to maximise the transference of sound energy.
  • 5-Piece Maple/Wenge Neck – Multi-piece necks are incredibly stable and won’t shift when playing in hot or humid environments.
  • Grover Locking Rotomatic Tuners – Once you’ve used locking tuners, you won’t go back! Locking tuners facilitate lightning fast string changes whilst maintaining rock-solid tuning stability.
  • No Heel Neck-Thru Body Construction – This type of neck join is incredibly ergonomic and allows for unparalleled access to the upper frets for a playing experience like no other.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
