Boss’ original Katana guitar amps received worldwide acclaim for their authentic tube tones, high-quality built-in effects, unparalleled versatility and brilliant value. Building on this best-selling formula, Boss has unveiled the new Katana Bass range, giving bassists access to the same fantastic tones and features. Loaded with a plethora of sounds, effects and connectivity options; Boss Katana Bass amps are the ultimate all-encompassing tone tools for home, the studio and on stage. The Boss Katana 210B is a large 160w combo amp packed full of modern features. Fitted with two custom 10″ speakers that can push plenty of air in a live scenario, the Katana 210B also serves as a fantastic practice amp for the home.

Original Bass Amp Tones

The Katana 210B features all new, original bass tones, courtesy of a proprietary Class A/B power amp system. Easily switch between Vintage, Flat and Modern amp types for classic “valve” and modern, progressive bass tones with rich dynamics and play feel. A 4-band EQ section allows you to tweak your tone to your liking with controls for bass, low mid, high mid and treble, in addition to the gain and volume controls. Boss’ powerful bi-amp system powers the speaker and tweeter independently, ensuring crystal clear tones with no tone loss, regardless of volume. This means you’ll sound just as good at home as you do on stage!

Diverse Built-In Effects

Boss are most renowned for their guitar pedals, and the company has crammed a bunch of its high-quality effects into its Katana amplifiers. The Katana 210B features both input and output effects from Boss’s legendary line up, all of which can be fully edited, including compression, overdrive and delay. If you want to use your own external stompboxes in conjunction with the Katana 210B, an effects loop allows you to make use of your favourite ambient, time-based and modulation effects without compromise.

Amplify You External Gear

The Boss Katana 210B is an incredible, feature-rich standalone amp. However, it can also be used as a powered cabinet for preamp pedals, modellers and multi-effects units! With a ‘Power Amp In’ jack at the rear, you can bypass the Katana 210B’s preamp and effects, letting you connect straight into the Tube Logic power section.

Elevate Your Practice Game

With a built in power control, you can easily drop the Katana 210B’s power to a neighbour-friendly 1 watt, without sacrificing your precious tone! When you’re ready to hit the stage again, simply switch it back to Max and you’re good to go! The Standby mode mutes the internal speaker(s) for convenient silent recording. The Katana 210B can also be controlled and edited via the optional Boss BT-DUAL Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor, allowing you to edit sounds and stream audio from an iOS or Android mobile device.

Speaker-Emulated Outputs

The Katana 210B features USB and phones/recording outputs with Boss’ ‘Air Feel Sound ‘cabinet emulation. This lets you send mix-ready amp tones to your computer’s DAW for direct recording, headphones for silent practice, or even a front-of-house PA system for live performance. This direct sound can be shaped further using the free Boss Tone Studio software.

Boss Tone Studio Software

Alongside the evolution of their Katana amps, Boss has also evolved its accompanying Tone Studio software. Featuring a refreshed interface, a number of parameters have been consolidated into the main screen to enhance workflow for users. Customize your sound with legendary Boss effects, channel and global EQs, adjustable routing, and much more!
