The Fairytale is the latest innovation from Duesenberg and introduces the next high-quality generation of lap steel guitars. This particular model boasts a stunning Goldburst finish.

Beautifully Constructed

The attention to detail and craftsmanship here is astonishing. The Fairytale has a solid mahogany body with an in-built capodaster and a Multibender bridge system. This all helps to improve upon the design of the precursor – the Pomona Lap steel which was first introduced in 2008.

Improved Capo

The capo has been fully integrated and improved, promoting brilliant ease of use. It runs along a special track located on the anodized black aluminium fretboard. This makes movement extremely simple between each individual key. It also prevents the loss of traditional lap steel licks and riffs that make use of open strings.

Multibender

A Multibender (which you can configure to your liking) can be used with the heel of your hand. It’s also possible to mount up to six levers – one per string – which then gives you the option of lowering or raising notes on specific strings to a preset setting.

Further Design Considerations

Combining the Duesenberg GrandVintage humbucker and the SingleTwin Domino hum-removing single coil has resulted in a unique tone and truly individual sound. Duesenberg speed pot controls work with a path of 70°, which helps to produce the lapsteels iconic ‘wah’ type effects.

They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.
