HM1

The EastCoast HM1 is an entry level guitar built for rock and metal. Featuring high-output humbucker pickups that produce a punchy, articulate, and fat sound perfect for heavier styles of playing. The slim tapered neck carve and medium jumbo frets enable you to swiftly move up and down the fretboard with ease, with a Rosewood fretboard giving you a warm tonal resonance that feels luxurious under your fingers.

Key Features

  • Poplar Body — Provides a tight and balanced sound. Poplar is also light, making the HM1 ideal for beginners who want to practice in a standing position without feeling strain on their shoulders.
  • Maple Neck — The HM1’s neck is very comfortable to play and is made from Maple, which gives the guitar a bright and “snappy” sound. It comes fitted with big frets which make it easy to fret notes cleanly and accurately.
  • Rosewood Fingerboard — A stunning material typically used on mid-priced and high-end guitars. It’s very silky and adds warmth to the HM1’s overall tone.
  • Humbucking Pickups — These are the magnetic parts of the guitar that take the vibrations of the strings and direct their sound into an amp. The ‘humbuckers’ in the HM1 produce a powerful tone, suited for both rhythm and lead guitar playing.
  • Volume & Tone Controls — The two dials on the right hand side of the body let you change the tone and volume of the pickups, so you can experiment with their sounds. You’ll never get bored of what the HM1 has to offer!
  • Dual Fulcrum Tremolo — This type of guitar bridge allows you to use a ‘whammy bar’ to manipulate the pitch of the strings, from subtle to chaotic!

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
