Who said that Fender had lost its sense of imagination? Well, for those in doubt, the Fender Acoustasonic Tele is something that definitely breaks the mould. Innovative and elegant, this instrument is essentially an electric/acoustic hybrid guitar – built for modern musicians looking for the ultimate expressive tool.

Although the Acoustasonic is based on the classic Tele shape, you'll soon realise that almost every other aspect of this unique guitar goes against Fender's grain. Powered by a revolutionary Fender and Fishman-designed acoustic engine, this instrument allows you to effortlessly change from convincing acoustic sounds to traditional electric rhythm tones on-the-fly.

Full Hollow Body

The most striking aesthetic feature of the Fender Acoustasonic Tele is its soundhole, placed at the centre of the body. Whereas as other hybrids before have tended to be more in-keeping with the looks of an electric guitar, the Acoustasonic, however, embraces more of the traditional acoustic construction.

With a full hollow body crafted from Mahogany, you can expect rich lows and a bell-like mid-range. Using Fender's 'Stringed Instrument Resonance System' (SIRS), this design helps the Acoustasonic Tele to achieve the response and harmonic breadth of a typical acoustic guitar, where you can feel the vibrations resonating through your body.

Unlike most acoustics and the standard Telecaster though, Fender kept playing comfort in mind when designing the Acoustasonic Tele. Adding a comfortable forearm contour, this allows you to strum chords without feeling any pain or fatigue, making it a great live workhorse. Despite the body being hollow, the thin and compact Tele shape remains intact, meaning that electric players will feel particularly at home on this guitar.

Satin-Finished Mahogany Neck

The Acoustasonic's body is paired with a bolt-on Mahogany neck, adding even more tonal depth. Covered in a smooth open-pore Satin Urethane finish and cut to Fender's Modern "Deep C' profile, the playability of this guitar is simply outstanding.

Adorned with a sleek Ebony fingerboard, this material ensures a slippery feel while adding some pristine top-end bite. Fitted with narrow tall frets, these are more akin to the type of frets you'd expect to find on most acoustics. But to keep electric players happy, Fender has ensured that the Acoustasonic Tele has 22 frets, with a sculpted heel providing excellent access to the high register.

Electronics & Hardware

Using an electro-acoustic guitar onstage has its issues, where feedback can potentially ruin a set. That's why Fender has sought to eliminate that common problem with the Acoustasonic, utilising its smaller body shape and&n
