About Levi Perry

Levi Perry’s journey to becoming a Fender Masterbuilder is as impressive as his creations. Born and raised in California, Levi joined Fender straight out of high school, starting in final assembly before moving to the Custom Shop in 2015 as a Relic Artist. His talent quickly earned him a spot on the service repair team, where he worked on numerous Masterbuilt guitars — his gateway to the elite ranks.

By 2018, Levi was apprenticing under John Cruz, learning the art of Masterbuilding while contributing to iconic projects like the Game of Thrones guitars. After years of honing his craft and absorbing knowledge from Fender’s finest, Levi achieved full Masterbuilder status in 2023. His passion for Fender’s heritage and relentless pursuit of perfection have made him one of the most exciting names in the Custom Shop today.

  • EVH Frankenstein pickups: These EVH ‘buckers are built to rock hard, being wound to the exact specs of Eddie Van Halen’s original, battle-worn Franky pickup. So plug in, crank up the volume and unleash your hottest licks!

  • Ultra tremolo: Dip and dive whenever you want to shake up your leads or just add a gentle warble to sustained chords. Its super smooth and paired with a graphite nut for rock-solid tuning stability.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
