The Vintera II series pays tribute to the innovatively designed instruments that defined decades of music.

‘60s Fender Bass VI

New to the Vintera series, Fender have created a ‘60s vintage-styled Bass VI for those that are looking for something different from their bass guitar. The Vintera II Bass VI incorporates all the same vintage love and attention featured throughout the rest of the guitars in the series. Although it features 6 strings, this is bass guitar, with a shorter scale than most. The famously comfortable “C” shape neck provides great support and familiarity to playing this unique instrument. The special gauge made for this bass guitar allows you to be more articulate with your playing that presents a distinctive tone.

A trio of vintage-style ‘60s single coil pickups make this bass sing, producing a surprising bright, vibrant, yet warm and natural sounding tones that would generally find on an electric guitar. The beauty of these vintage voiced pickups gives you more scope to experiment and find new tones you wouldn’t find one large scale basses. Utilising Fender’s floating tremolo (predominately found on Jazzmasters) you can be more expressive with vibrato by diving into each note you play whilst maintaining superb tuning stability. The Vintera II Bass VI is perfect for any player wanting to try a new sonic realm that is in keeping with the vintage specifications of the original bass guitar introduced back in the mid- ‘60s.

Stuff About Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.

Stuff About Electric Bass Guitars

Electric bass guitars provide the low-end foundation that supports rhythm, harmony, and groove within a band. Designed for clarity, punch, and control, they translate string vibration into a focused, amplified signal that locks in with drums and drives the music forward. Different scale lengths, pickup configurations, and electronics influence feel and tone, from deep, rounded lows to tight, articulate attack. Whether used for simple supportive lines or more expressive playing, electric bass guitars are essential for shaping the feel and energy of a track.
