The Gamechanger Audio Bigsby is a faithful reproduction of the legendary Bigsby tremolo arm, in a compact pedal form! The Bigsby accurately reproduces the string bending and vibrato effects made famous by the Bigsby tremolo arm and other traditional tremolo systems. In fact, the Bigsby's unique detune algorithm emulates the imperfections and properties of mechanical string-bending hardware so accurately, it's almost indistinguishable from a traditional Bigsby!

The Bigsby's specially developed hybrid algorithm delivers smooth polyphonic pitch-shifting in real time and at low intervals. It has been painstakingly tweaked to preserve the natural timbre and sound of electric and acoustic string instruments, including, guitars, basses, baritones, mandolins and banjos. Featuring a unique spring-loaded pedal design, the Bigsby seamlessly incorporates pitch bends into complex picking patterns and melodic lead lines for a uniquely expressive playing experience. Better still, you won't have to keep tweaking your guitar's tuning, which is often the case when using vintage tremolo/vibrato systems!

In addition to being packed with tonnes of vintage vibrato sounds, the Bigsby also boats plenty of features for the modern player. With full MIDI functionality and PC control over all parameters, you can easily save and recall presets, making it a great asset on the stage or in the studio. The Blend control unlocks some incredible chorus and harmoniser sounds whilst the expression output lets you take control of other audio gear either in conjunction with or separately from the pitch shifting.

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

The Important stuff

Bigsby. Pedal — Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects. Whether you are adding grit, space, movement or control, a pedal becomes part of your playing rather than just an add-on. Exploring different pedals is about discovering what responds to your touch and helps your sound feel more like your own.. Pitch. Shifter.
