Elvis Presley is one of the most influential musicians of all time; a cultural icon famously dubbed the "King of Rock and Roll". A renowned user of Gibson's renowned SJ-200 model, the American musical instrument giant has paid tribute to the late star with its Elvis SJ-200 model — based on a guitar that was given to Elvis as a gift at a recording session at RCA Studio B in Nashville in the mid-'60s. He used the guitar for numerous live performances. Elvis gave it to his aide and close friend Marty Lacker at Graceland in 1976.

The Elvis SJ-200 features a Maple back, sides and neck, as well as a Sitka Spruce top. This mix of tonewoods, combined with the jumbo body shape, yields a big, vibrant tone with incredible projection. It also has all of the attractive SJ-200 touches, including mother of pearl inlays, and the iconic Moustache bridge and graduated crown inlays, while the modern LR Baggs VTC electronics make the instrument stage-ready right out of the included hardshell case!

Electro-Acoustic

Electro-acoustic guitars are acoustic instruments fitted with built-in pickups or microphones that allow them to be amplified or connected directly to a PA system or amplifier. They retain the natural acoustic tone and feel of a traditional acoustic guitar while adding the convenience of onboard electronics.

They are commonly used for live performance and recording, especially in situations where consistent volume and clarity are needed. Electro-acoustic guitars often include controls for volume and tone, and sometimes built-in tuners, making them a practical choice for gigging musicians who want an acoustic sound with modern flexibility.
