First introduced in 1942, the J-45 is Gibson's best-selling acoustic of all time, earning it the nickname "The Workhorse". The Gibson J-45 50s Faded honours the legacy of the original workhorse acoustic, ready to inspire a new generation of players.

Sporting a satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, the J-45 50s Faded has the look and feel of a well-loved vintage instrument. Built on the tried and tested foundation of a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, it has a rich, full-bodied tone that is undeniably vintage. The Mahogany neck has a rounded profile, adding to the vintage feel, and is topped with a silky smooth Rosewood fingerboard. The J-45 comes fitted with a market-leading LR Baggs VTC under saddle pickup for vibrant, natural sounding amplification, with controls for volume and tone hidden inside the soundhole. Other premium appointments include Gotoh white button tuners, bone nut and a hardshell case.
