From bright spanking clean through to rich creamy overdrive – this amp can do it all! The Hiwatt Custom 20 is ‘cathode biased’ (aka Class A) which adds a ‘touch sensitive’ feel to the amp’s response. With the addition of a Gain Control, you are able to drive the Custom 20 into an awesome natural overdrive without the customary Hiwatt ‘loud’. Perfect for studio work and intimate venues.

Unlike higher wattage models focused on delivering seemingly endless clean headroom, the SA20 will break up with the gain control past noon, offering the choice of a beautiful Hiwatt signature clean base for pedals and crystal clear tones, or satisfying tube saturation at the turn of a knob.
