The Axion Label RGD is the latest addition to the Ibanez line-up, designed for adventurous modern musicians.

This is a guitar ready to push the boundaries in construction, look and sound. Take your performances where no one has gone before.

Body & Neck

Multiscale guitars allow for more accurate intonation and tighter low strings, so your riffing keeps its aggression and response. The slanted frets also act as a natural positioning for your hand as you move up and down the fretboard.

The RGD has a unique, ergonomic shape with comfort and durability in mind. The right arm cutaway allows easy access to the bridge, so you can play for hours on end without fatigue.

It utilises a Nyatoh body, combined with an extremely smooth and sturdy five-piece Panga Panga and Walnut neck. These specs balance stunning looks and lightweight construction.

Sub Zero treated jumbo frets and a slim Wizard neck allow you to play aggressively and bend strings effortlessly without any afterthought of damaging the guitar.

Sound

The RGD is equipped with the outstanding Fishman Fluence pickups. These project a crisp sound and bring extreme clarity to your playing. Switch between the voicings for a range of musical styles.

Whether you’re running up and down scales or playing complex chords, they’ll pronounce every nuance.

Hardware

Ibanez are known for their excellent hardware appointments. The RGD is no exception. It uses a Mono-rail bridge for precise intonation, low action and comfort for your right hand.

The Gotoh locking tuners, meanwhile, guarantee stability whatever tuning you’re in.

Better yet, the addition of Schaller S-Lock strap locks ensure your guitar sticks round your neck however lively a show might get.

Stuff About 7-String Guitar

A 7-string guitar expands the range of a standard guitar by adding a lower string, opening up deeper tunings and a wider tonal palette. It’s popular with players who want tight, defined low-end without sacrificing access to higher notes, making it well suited to metal, progressive, jazz, and experimental styles. The extra string allows for heavier riffs, extended chord voicings, and more fluid transitions between rhythm and lead playing. Despite the added range, a well-designed 7-string guitar should still feel balanced and playable, encouraging creativity rather than getting in the way of your technique.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.
