The Ibanez RG8EX-BKF 8- String Electric Guitar in Black Flat takes one of the most iconic guitar shapes and styles and turns it into a high-performance shred machine. Designed for speed, strength, and reliability, the RG8EX features a Wizard II Maple neck, jumbo frets, a Meranti body for balanced tonal resonance, and a pair of Quantum humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. The RG is precise, articulate, and in every way a performance-built workhorse.

Wizard II 5-Piece Neck

Durable, reliable, and comfortable, the neck on this electric guitar contributes to the rigidity and sustain in feel and tone to give you a performance-focused playing experience. Complimented by the satin polyurethane finish, you can easily navigate the neck to play for hours on end. The Wizard neck shape provides a flat, thin profile that pins you even close to the fretboard, perfect for sweep picking or shredding, designed for the high-performance player.

Jumbo Frets

The Jumbo frets provide a wide and tall feel for expressive bending and articulate, effortless, playing.  Polished to perfection, the jumbo stainless steel frets give you a clean, crystal-clear tone to ensure that every note and chord expresses a dynamic and fluent response.

IBX-8 Pickups

Loaded with two IBX-8 humbucker pickups, the RG8EX produces a crisp, articulate low-end, whilst being able to handle extreme high gain without losing tonal resonance for fantastic clarity. The bridge humbucker gives you a ferocious growl, perfect for hard rock riffs, with the neck humbucker providing a creamier growl.

Key Features

  • F108 Bridge – Providing enriched sustain, the F106 fixed bridge can be easily and independently adjusted for intonation maintaining a hassle-free playing experience.
  • IBZ-8 Pickups – Designed for extended-range guitars that deliver tight low-end handling and intense high-gain without losing tonal clarity.
  • Meranti Body – Helping to boost the mid-range of the RG is the Meranti body, providing a sweet scoop of tonal resonance.
