The UB804 is a unique part of Ibanez' Bass Workshop Range and brings an upright – but modern – playing experience to current day bass players. Crafted from a maple body and boasting a maple/walnut neck, you'll appreciate the crisp, clear and resonant tone that emanates from this truly one-of-a-kind bass.

Plug in & Play

An AeroSilk piezo pickup has been incorporated on this bass which helps to deliver an authentic amplified sound. You can then dial in your ideal tone using the in-built tone and volume controls. The custom pickup design is even smart enough to tweak your output for an optimal, equalised level. It does this by detecting your current playing technique, and working out how much the strings are vibrating. Clever, huh?

The intuitive features don't stop there though – they extend even further. A 1/4 scale 34-inch string length is complimented by a compound radius fingerboard, which is comfortable to use, but also allows for smooth, precise playing. Each string is mounted on an MR4 mono rail bridge, which has been designed to enhance your string vibration transfer.

Additional Extras

This bass includes a TAMA Roadpro tripod stand, ensuring you're ready for any live performance. It's adjustable too; you can play sat down, or stood up, depending on your personal preferences. You'll also receive a gig bag for the bass and another case dedicated to your bow and the tripod. When put together, this is the perfect portable playing solution. It's an ideal choice if you're a student, regular live performer, or travel regularly with your instrument.

Bass Guitars

Electric bass guitars provide the low-end foundation that supports rhythm, harmony, and groove within a band. Designed for clarity, punch, and control, they translate string vibration into a focused, amplified signal that locks in with drums and drives the music forward. Different scale lengths, pickup configurations, and electronics influence feel and tone, from deep, rounded lows to tight, articulate attack. Whether used for simple supportive lines or more expressive playing, electric bass guitars are essential for shaping the feel and energy of a track.

Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.
