The powerful Parallax pedal offers the delay side of Keeley’s legendary Caverns stompbox, paired with the unique “Shoegaze”-inspired reverbs of their Realizer — all available in one pedalboard-friendly enclosure. On one side of the Parallax, analogue-style modulated delays create a soft bed of warm repeats, while the other side builds reverse setting-vibrato swirls to ambient modulations to form perfect pools of reverb reflection.

When both sides are paired together, the Parallax provides the perfect end-of-pedalboard solution for ambient and experimental tone seekers who want to take a slow dive into the hazy, atmospheric sounds that they’ve always dreamed of!

Reverb Modes

  • Soft Focus: A lush, surreal recreation of the popular Soft Focus patch from the Yamaha FX500 multi-effects processor, a late ’80s rack unit that was used to achieve many signature delay and modulation effects heard in the early ’90s. Adjusting the Decay control changes both decay time of the reverb and feedback for the dual delay. Depth controls intensity of all 4 chorus voices.
  • Reverse (Reverse Reverb): Inspired by the two most popular rackmount reverb effects of the ’80s and ’90s, the Yamaha SPX90 and the Alesis Midiverb II. Decay switches between 8 different fixed delay times from a quick 150ms all the way up to half a second. Reverse mode also features an envelope triggered vibrato that emulates the pitch bend from a Jazzmaster tremolo bar. Changing the Depth control will set how deep the “trem bar” is pushed. The Warmth control in this mode is designed to work like the Jazzmaster rhythm pickup tone control.
  • Hall (Hall Reverb with Ascending Shimmer): Hall reverb with an octave up. The output of the reverb is fed into an octave up which then feeds back into the input of the reverb — creating an infinitely ascending octave feedback loop. The Depth control will change how noticeable this pitch effect is.

Delay Modulation Modes

The delay side of the Parallax offers three-way switchable modulation that gives you access to even more analogue textures. These carefully-voiced echoes sit well in the mix whether clean or paired with your favorite drive or fuzz:

  • Off: No modulation, classic analogue-style warm delay.
  • Deep: Heavy, swirling modulation added to the delay trail.
  • Light: Softer, gentle modulation added to the delay trail.

Use the Rate, Blend and Repeats knobs in conjunction with the mode switch to unlock the full palette of delay sounds in the Parallax.

Key Features

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

The Important stuff

Delay — Delay is an effect that records the guitar signal and plays it back after a short period of time, creating an echo or repeat. By adjusting the time, feedback, and level, delay can add subtle depth and space or produce rhythmic, expressive repeats that enhance lead lines, ambient textures, and overall atmosphere.. Pedal — Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects. Whether you are adding grit, space, movement or control, a pedal becomes part of your playing rather than just an add-on. Exploring different pedals is about discovering what responds to your touch and helps your sound feel more like your own.. Reverb — Reverb (short for reverberation) is an audio effect that simulates the natural reflections of sound in a physical space. When you play in a room, hall, or cathedral, the sound waves bounce off the walls, ceiling, and floor, creating a sense of depth and ambience. Reverb pedals and processors recreate this effect electronically, allowing guitarists and producers to shape how “big” or “live” their sound feels. From short, springy echoes that mimic vintage amp tanks to lush, atmospheric washes used in ambient or shoegaze music, reverb adds dimension and realism — turning a dry, flat tone into something immersive and expressive..
