The Kernom Ridge is the world's first augmented overdrive, boasting an unlimited number of 100% pure analogue clipping options in one circuit. Built on Kernom's unique patented "Analog Morphing Core" technology, the Ridge features powerful pre and post clipping EQ sections and full MIDI compatibility, giving it all the potential to replace any number of different overdrive pedals in your rig! From transparent clean boosts, to mid-punchy "screamer" style overdrives, thick, chewy fuzzes to searing high gains, the Kernom Ridge can do it all with devastating accuracy. Think of it like an amp modeller, only for your overdrive pedals!

The secret to the Ridge's infinite drive options lies in its "Mood" knob, a powerful control that drastically alters the clipping style of the overdrive. Whether you prefer symmetrical, asymmetrical, high headroom or heavily compressed clipping, the Ridge is a never-ending journey through overdrive flavours! Turning the "Mood" knob from left to right unlocks the following overdrive options:

  1. Very clean and open sound, zero to light, soft clipping
  2. Transparent and highly dynamic overdrive
  3. More pronounced, coloured overdrive
  4. High gain monster
  5. Almost fuzz like, characterful sound

The Ridge's Chameleon EQ section puts a host of tone tweaking options at your fingertips, letting you chose between complete transparency at any gain setting, and colouring your sound to suit your playing. The "Pre" knob determines how Ridge interacts with your amp while the "Post" knob controls how much you cut through or sit in the mix. And if all of that wasn't enough, the Ridge has the capacity to store a heap of presets, accessible via MIDI! Simply plug in an external MIDI switcher to save and recall up to 128 of your favourite presets to cover all of your overdrive needs. Take things even further by connecting an external controller and change the Ridge's internal parameters in real time! The possibilities really are endless!

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

The Important stuff

Whether you prefer vintage smoothness or modern bite, these pedals are essential for players who want expressive, touch-sensitive drive with plenty of personality.. Pedal — Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects.
