Some call it vintage, some call it classic, some even call it the original guitar effect, but one thing is certain: tremolo has established itself as an iconic sound for decades because for the simple fact that it sounds lovely.

When we set out to design the Analog Tremolo, we had a very simple goal: create an exceptional tremolo with a small footprint. This goal seems easy enough, and on the surface it is, but as many of us know, the simplest solutions are often the most difficult to achieve…

As its core amplitude engine, the Analog Tremolo employs a high-performance VCA (voltage-controlled amplifier) ensuring smooth and pure 100%-analog modulation. The VCA engine is driven by a precision multi-waveform LFO with a staggering range of speeds, and it is because of this combination that the Analog Tremolo’s intensity can range from 0% (you can use the Analog Tremolo as a powerful clean boost with the Intense control set full CCW) all the way up to a full -100dB chop.

Three classic waveforms allow you to choose just the right pulse and throb for your song (selected by pressing the little black button and displayed in real-time on the indicator LED), and we couldn’t resist adding a special “just because it sounds really cool” bonus, we affectionately call: Robot Mode.

Robot Mode disables the Rate control, and dials the LFO up to its physical maximum potential. Robot Mode can be tamed to barely audible, or cranked up to full power quickly and easily by turning the Intense control.

The final piece of the puzzle was the addition of an active master volume output control, ensuring very low output impedance which can easily drive long cable runs, complex pedalboards and also ensures seamless integration into whatever effects chain the Analog Tremolo slides into.

Rounded out by mechanical true-bypass and drawing only 17mA via “industry-standard” 9V pedal power (or an internal 9V  battery), the Analog Tremolo makes a classic effect timelessly shine.

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

The Important stuff

Analog — Analog effects use traditional electronic circuits rather than digital processing to shape the guitar signal. They are valued for their warm, natural sound, smooth response, and organic character, making them a popular choice for players who prefer classic tones and a more immediate playing feel.. Black — Black instruments and gear offer a timeless, understated look that fits almost any style of music or setup. Whether it’s a guitar, pedal or accessory, a black finish is often chosen for its clean appearance, practicality and stage-ready feel. If you prefer gear that looks focused, professional and never goes out of fashion, black options deliver a classic aesthetic with no distractions.. Pedal — Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects. Whether you are adding grit, space, movement or control, a pedal becomes part of your playing rather than just an add-on. Exploring different pedals is about discovering what responds to your touch and helps your sound feel more like your own.. Tremolo — Tremolo is an effect that creates a rhythmic pulsing by varying the volume of the guitar signal up and down. It can be subtle and smooth or choppy and pronounced, adding movement and texture to clean tones and is commonly associated with classic amps and vintage-style sounds..
