  • Stainless Steel Frets – Silky smooth and as close to indestructible as you could get from a piece of fret wire.
  • 20db Boost – thanks to the Custom Music Man active preamp a total of 20db of boost is available at a click of a button ensuring that you never go unheard during a solo.
  • Shielding – The JP15s’ unique Graphite Acrylic Resin-Coated Body Cavity & Aluminium Control Cover ensures minimal electrical noise interference even with insane amounts of gain.

John Petrucci Humbuckers

Bold and rich in clarity the DiMarzio Illuminator pickups are designed to give John every sound he ever requires in his gargantuan musical vocabulary from just 2 Humbucker pickups. From rip-roaring articulated high-gain tones to more expressive and dynamic phrases, these pickups transition seamlessly between any playing style.

Fishman Piezo Saddles

Near-perfect acoustic guitar tones thanks to the Custom John Petrucci Music Man Floating Tremolo with Fishman Powerbridge Piezo Saddles. At the turn of a knob, your ‘acoustic’ sound can be blended into your signal or alternatively, you can split the signal using the 2 inputs and run the Piezo pickups directly into a PA or acoustic amp for a more raw and natural tone.

Ultimate Tonal Variety

The unique switching capabilities in the JP15 can unlock a variety of different tones, perhaps ones you’ve never imagined were possible. With the top 3-way switch (found on the upper horn of the instrument) in the down position, the guitar works as you would expect any normal HH electric guitar to work.

Using the regular 3-way you can choose between the neck or bridge pickup as well as both in parallel. Using the Push/Push button on the Tone Knob allows you to split the coils but only in position 2 (both pickups). In the middle position of the switch on the upper horn, it allows you to use both the Piezo Transducer pickup as well as the humbuckers and in the final switch position, it is just the Piezo pickup by itself. Your signal can also be split for even more tonal variety thanks to the stereo output options.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
