Introduced back in 1976, the Music man StingRay has been a legendary instrument that redefined the world of bass guitars. Taking things back to basics, the Retro ‘70s StingRay is a homage to the original bass, with some modern features for those creature comforts.

Boasting an Ash body, the StingRay offers a bright, articulate, resonant tone, perfect for playing funky slap bass, accompanied by the vintage Alnico 5 humbucker pickup, producing a hot output with plenty of spanky treble.

The Schaller tuners and Pre-EB Geometry Music man vintage steel saddles offer enhanced tuning stability, whilst remaining true to the vintage style of the ‘70s. The StingRay Retro ‘70s really offers those vintage vibes whilst providing a comfortable and modern playing experience.

Key Features

  • Highly Resonant – The Ash body soaks up all the tonal juices and produces an incredibly bright tone for your bass to be heard on stage, enabling you to create some articulate and exciting bass lines.
  • Stainless Steel Frets — Offer excellent corrosion resistance, with the wide, high-profile fret-type providing a quick response and great articulation.
  • 2 Band EQ Preamp – Giving you clean boosted headroom to crank up the volume without losing your tone when adding gain or distortion.
