PRS Private Stock guitars represent the highest quality of materials, the most personally crafted instruments, and the greatest level of customization at PRS.

Key Features

  • Patented Tremolo Gen III – The most recent incarnation of the famed PRS Tremolo System. Meticulously designed with improved string vibration transfer for an even more defined and bigger tone with improved tuning stability.
  • Phase III Locking Tuners – The perfect blend of vintage aesthetic and modern design. Possibly the most thought-out tuners on any guitar.

Premium Construction

This Custom 24’s Swamp Ash back delivers a sweet sound with a slightly scooped midrange, the perfect accompaniment for its lush PRS TCI pickups. The Curly Maple top provides that extra clarity & attack that really brings out all the harmonic detail in everything from complex chord voicings to expressive leads.

Flamed Maple “Pattern Thin” Neck

A departure from PRS’ tried-and-tested tonewood combinations, this instrument features a Curly Maple neck, shaped to the brand’s ‘Pattern Thin’ neck carve. Substantial in the fretting hand, this particular profile provides a familiar feel for traditionalists and offers great support at all areas of the neck.

This is topped with a 24-fret Ziricote fingerboard, providing a velvety touch and warm response reminiscent of Rosewood but with more striking figuring in the grain.

High-Quality Hardware

In Paul Reed Smith’s own words: “Anything that touches the string is God.” Naturally, this Custom 24 is fitted with some of the most finely-machined appointments available. PRS’ Phase III Locking Tuners make string changes fast and simple, with their locking design also improving tuning stability as less winds are required around their machine head posts.

At the other end of the instrument you’ll find the Gen III Tremolo, indicative of the class-leading quality you’d expect from a PRS model. With a wonderfully-smooth vibrato action, this tremolo’s high-mass design also ensures maximum string vibration transference through the guitar’s body – giving you unparalleled levels of sustain.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
